Working on my new project gave reason to look up my childhood home.I
I expected to see the big maple out front, mom's magnolia tree to the side,
and the flowerbeds we worked so hard on.

Those days of long ago so well remembered in my head
right down to the yellow forsythia bush mom took twigs from
to switch my legs for being "sassy".

I helped daddy to paint the shingle siding every few years,
He re-roofed the house and we (daddy and I) put up
anchoring fencing around the whole property, gates and all.
Yes, I knew there would be some changes.
Where did MY HOUSE go?
Guess the saying "you can never go home" is true.
How much damage can they do in 40 years, right?
Post note; That is still my fence!
